Care Center:
Castle Care Nursing Home on the first Friday of the month and at Brookside Inn Care Center on the second Friday of the month. Both times are at 11:00 am and Parishioners are welcome to join the residents for Mass.

Confession/Reconciliation:
4:45 pm - 5:15 pm
(Saturdays or by appointment)

Eucharistic Adoration:
Mondays 9:30 am - 1:00 pm


MUSIC MNISTRY

Music Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Castle Rock

Liturgical Music Director: Pat Mack

A strong ministry of over 100 dedicated volunteers of all ages who give of their time and talent willingly and graciously. Our ministry is active all year long. Only our Children’s Choir is together September through May. We have 10 different choirs:

Cherub Choir (ages 1 to 5)

Cherub Choir is on hold for the time being while we seek a new director.  The hope is to have it up and going in May, 2009.

Children’s Choir (ages 6 to 12)

director: Carol Ann Worthing and Pat Mack
choir is together September through May

Youth Choir (7 th grade and older)

choir sings 2 nd & 4 th Saturdays of the month at 5:30pm mass
3 other adults and 14 youth

Revelation Choir

director: Kathy Wright
choir sings 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month at 5:30 pm mass
5 members (4 ladies and a guitarist)

Cantor

Sings 5 th Saturday of month at 5:30pm mass

Spanish Choir

directors: Soraya Day (2 nd), Connie Samora (4th) and Pat Mack
choir sings for 7:00 pm Spanish Mass on 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month

Daybreak (Kilman Choir)

choir sings 2nd & 4th & 5th Sundays of the month 7:30 am mass
3 members (one of them is the guitarist)

Peace Choir

8 members (piano/organ accompaniment)

Genesis Choir

Chorus of Faith Choir

choir sings every other Sunday at 9:30 am mass
20 members (SATB choir, piano, clarinet, drums)

Mack Choir

choir sings at 11:30 am Sunday Mass
17 members (piano, organ, guitar, clarinet, bass clarinet)


Requirements for becoming a Music Minister:

  • you must be a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church
  • you should like to sing
  • you should be able to carry a tune
  • you should be able to hear when two tones are different
  • if you play an instrument, you should be able to play it proficiently
  • contact Pat Mach (Liturgical Music Director) to arrange a meeting before practicing or singing with any music group

A Music Committee was organized in January, 2008

* chair: Don Billings
* consists of 6 members
* organized to assist director
* to share resources among music ministers
* organize and conduct training/educational workshops/sessions

Music is necessary for all weddings and funerals and is arranged by contacting the Liturgical Music Director (Pat Mack) at the church.
