Dear Parishioners,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on our Construction Project. We are doing a lot of “value engineering.” We (architects, contractors, staff, parish building committee and I) are looking through the proposed new church, offices and new upstairs kitchen. This is a very holy and necessary time as we look at all the different areas in terms of getting the best value for our construction dollar. One suggestion that I heard from several parishioners was “Can we possibly refinish and use our existing pews and have new pews made to match them?” That is a great suggestion and we are looking into that as a real possibility. I’ll let you know the answer in a future column. I really appreciate your suggestions. I would ask your prayers during this time that the Holy Spirit will guide us and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon us.
