Formación en la fe en la escuela secundaria
Bienvenidos al Programa de Formación en la Fe y Sacramento de la Confirmación para la escuela secundaria de la Iglesia Católica Romana de San Francisco de AsÃs. Nuestra misión es brindar a su familia recursos e información para enriquecer su vida espiritual.
Nuestro programa ayudará a sus hijos a crecer espiritualmente y como miembros de nuestra comunidad de fe.
Creemos que comprender y practicar las creencias, virtudes y principios morales católicos influirá en la forma en que los niños vivirán sus vidas; la creencia genera conducta. La preparación para los sacramentos debe tener como objetivo guiar a los jóvenes hacia una unión más Ãntima con Cristo y un sentido activo de pertenencia a una comunidad de fe católica. Invitamos y animamos a padres e hijos a que, en el Bautismo, Cristo los llame a un camino de discipulado que durará toda la vida y a participar en la vida de la SantÃsima Trinidad.
Para inscribir a su hijo/a en el programa, es necesario ser feligrés de nuestra parroquia. Si no está registrado/a como feligrés, comunÃquese con la oficina al 303 688 3025.
La inscripción en lÃnea estará abierta la última semana de junio. Si no tiene acceso a una computadora, puede pasar por la oficina a recoger su paquete de inscripción.
2025-2026 MIDDLE SCHOOL faith formation schedule
Classes will be offered during these days and times this year:​

Sunday: 6th thru 8th - 3:45pm to 5:00pm

Wednesday: 6th thru 8th - 4:45pm to 6:00pm Students will participate at 5:00pm Mass at (same time as Elementary School)

PICK UP/DROP OFF
Parents must sign their children in and out of class for safety reasons.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form with your child's Registration Form if you feel God is calling you to share your faith with our youth. All Adult volunteers must be SET trained before teaching in the classroom. We need over 55 volunteers to serve, so please consider sharing your gifts with our youth.

Lead Catechist – Teach class during assigned time each week; Attend training workshop in August and optional retreats/continuing education throughout the year.

Assistant Catechist – Assist a catechist in a class on a weekly basis with presentation of
the lesson, prayer, craft, and/or classroom management. -
Hall Monitor – Be a regular on-site supervisory presence during a time period to put out and pick up cones, monitor the hallways, pick up sign in/out folders and assist catechists with finding supplies.​
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION FOR 8TH GRADE STUDENTS
In order to register to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation by the end of 8th grade, students must meet the following requirements:

The students must be Baptized and had received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in the Catholic church.

Has regularly attended religious formation classes every year.

The students must have attended Faith Formation classes during 2021-2022 and Completed 7th grade with at least 80% attendance in Parish Catechesis Program or Catholic School.

COMMUNICATION
Information regarding Middle School Faith Formation program will be communicated to those concerned in several formats with email being the primary method of communication. Information can also be found on the Children/Youth bulletin board located near Assisi Hall, in the Sunday bulletin, Flock Note, and on the St. Francis of Assisi Parish website.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is expected at all Faith Formation classes. If a student is unable to attend please call or email Vicki Arndt. After three unexcused classes a phone call will be made to the parent or guardian. All missing assignments must be made up and returned to the catechist.

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER
Notifications will be sent via email and the St. Francis of Assisi Parish website. If school for the Douglas County High School feeder is canceled – we will cancel. As always, use your best judgment when deciding whether to bring children to class due to inclement weather.
