Finance Council

Updated: Dec 14, 2021

Thanks so much to the members of our Finance Council for their great work in supporting the mission of our parish: Margaret Cingoranelli, Rick Egitto, Andy Robinson, Bob Krebs, Don Billings, Ed Leone, Kenneth Ryerson, Lana Falke, and Shane Phillips —- thank you so much! We held our quarterly meeting on December 2 at 4 PM.

We began with Matthew 7:21, 24-27 and prayed for our parish to continue to build on the solid foundation of Jesus! Maggie reviewed the results of our annual financial review, the parish budget, and our investment report. We approved a new investment policy in line with diocesan policy. We decided to publish monthly updates to the parish on our debt reduction and to add a second collection on the first weekend of each month for this purpose. Our current debt is 2.6 million dollars.

We agreed to replace the back deck for approximately 53,000 dollars. We will also get bids for replacing the old boiler that heats the parish office. We also approved getting designs and bids to put a kitchenette in Assisi Hall and moving the Stephen Ministry Office to the first floor. We will not move forward with installing an elevator due to exorbitant cost.

Each week we offer a tithe of our collection to local and diocesan charities. Among those who will receive donations in 2022: Catholic Charities, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Help and Hope, Bridge of Hope, Catholic Engaged Encounter, Winter Shelter Network, Ave Maria School, Divine Redeemer School, Corpus Christi School, Universal Chastity Education, Alternative Pregnancy Center, From Silenced to Saved, Reece’s Roundup, and our Emergency Tithe Fund.

The Finance Council meets quarterly. The next meeting is February 24 at 4 PM.

Spring

Spring weather can be unpredictable.  Remember last weekend!  Daffodils and crocuses begin to emerge during days of temperatures in the 60s and 70s, only to be startled by a plunge into the 30s or 40s
