SENT High School Missionaries

SENT High School Missionaries is a ministry of ACTION. Planned and taught predominately by our CORE Leadership Team of High School Upperclassmen, SENT is focused on taking all of the knowledge about our faith and learning how to LIVE it as missionary disciples of Christ.

We meet predominately on Sunday evenings after 5:30pm Mass following the same schedule as Elem/Middle faith formation. We do have some gatherings on other days based on the kids' schedules.

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 23 AT THE PARISH PICNIC!! Mass starts at noon at Rhyolite Park, followed by food, fellowship and fun! SENT and Work Camp will be there with 9-Square and Spikeball. Stop by, say hello, and get more info about the program!

Our year will include:

A shared meal at each gathering
Prayer
Opportunities to learn more about our faith through SENT Nights (brief lessons taught by the CORE team about different topics, Saints, etc) and Bible studies
Opportunities for Reconciliation and Adoration
Opportunities for service in our parish and in our greater community
Opportunities for leadership, mentorship and fellowship with peers as well as younger students (through participation in planning the Confirmation Retreat as well as next year's VBS program)
Special interest groups to meet others who share your hobbies and interests (D&D, baking, pro-life action and MORE)
Lots of fun!

Our first SENT night will be Sunday, August 30th immediately following 5:30pm Mass (ending time can vary - plan to arrive between 6:45 and 7pm. Opening prayer and dinner will be at 7pm.)

Finally, we are in need of help from our parish to make this program a success! There are several ways that families and other parishioners can support our program:

Volunteer your time as a small group discussion leader/mentor for our SENT nights or a special interest group (baking club, D&D club, Youth for Life, etc. Contact me for details). We would love to have both genders and a variety of ages, life stages and vocations to walk with our teens this year!
Donate a meal to one of our gatherings. Feeding the youth is our largest expense each year, but it is one of the most important aspects of our program. You can collaborate with other families to provide one meal, you can order delivery of pizza or another food option, or you can make a financial donation toward groceries for a meal that I prepare and serve. Purchase an item from our Amazon wish list for the youth program (shared with Work Camp). Many of our games and supplies are very outdated and desperately need a refresh. These items are not in our budget for this year and would make a big difference in the atmosphere of our gathering space as well as the fellowship opportunities for our youth. SENT Amazon Wish List

High School Ministry Fall Retreat 2023

Was awesome!

Our teens met up with many other teens in the Diocese and deepened their relationship with Christ! Some came home and went back to Life Teen that very evening!
