Happy New Year 2026!

Happy New Year 2026!  As we recall the gifts brought by the Magi to the Christ Child today, I want to thank you for all the gifts you have brought to Father Michael, Father Carlos, and me during this Christmas season!  We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity!  We received so many greeting cards, gift cards, and food!  Thank you so much!

Like the Magi, we are all on a journey in this new year to find the holy Christ and to offer Him our time, talent, and treasure.  The Gospel invites us to pay attention and to follow the light.  If we look closely, we will be led to Jesus, we will find him, and we will go and tell others.  But we have to keep our eyes open, take a risk, keep moving forward, and follow where He leads.  

Where are you in the Epiphany story this New Year?  How are you seeking Christ in your life?  What is pointing you to Him?  How have you found Him? What gifts are you bringing to Him? How has your epiphany changed your life and those whom you have met?

If you open yourself to Jesus, you will discover a much bigger picture than what government, power, or wealth can offer.  God is real.  God is with us, and you will know His presence.  If you dare to follow the rising light with all your heart, you will meet Christ.  I think the whole point of life is to seek Him and be ready for those epiphany moments.  You will change.  Your worldview will change.  Your direction, your journey will change and others will know.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo 2026! Al recordar hoy los regalos que los Tres Reyes llevaron al Niño Jesús, quiero darles las gracias por todos los regalos que han traído al Padre Michael, al Padre Carlos y a mí durante estas fiestas navideñas. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos por su amabilidad y generosidad! ¡Hemos recibido tantas tarjetas de felicitación, tarjetas de regalo y comida! ¡Muchas gracias!

Al igual que los Tres Reyes, todos estamos en un viaje en este nuevo año para encontrar al santo Cristo y ofrecerle nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro. El Evangelio nos invita a prestar atención y seguir la luz. Si miramos de cerca, seremos guiados a Jesús, lo encontraremos e iremos a contárselo a los demás. Pero tenemos que mantener los ojos abiertos, arriesgarnos, seguir adelante y seguirlo adonde Él nos lleve.  

¿Dónde estás tú en la historia de la Epifanía de este nuevo año? ¿Cómo buscas a Cristo en tu vida? ¿Qué te lleva hacia Él? ¿Cómo lo has encontrado? ¿Qué regalos le llevas? ¿Cómo ha cambiado tu epifanía tu vida y la de aquellos con quienes te has encontrado?

Si te abres a Jesús, descubrirás un panorama mucho más amplio que el que pueden ofrecer el poder o la riqueza. Dios es real.  Dios está con nosotros, y conocerás Su presencia. Si te atreves a seguir la luz naciente con todo tu corazón, encontrarás a Cristo. Creo que el sentido de la vida es buscarlo y estar preparado para esos momentos de epifanía. Cambiarás. Tu visión del mundo cambiará. Tu dirección, tu camino cambiarán y los demás lo sabrán.

¡Que Jesús les bendiga con paz en este Año Nuevo!
