Stewardship Renewal Begins Today!

Stewardship means recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God - our time, our abilities, and our resources - and choosing to offer those gifts back to God in gratitude. But we know that doing this faithfully can sometimes be challenging. It takes effort to make time for prayer in the midst of a busy life. It takes courage to step forward and serve others with the gifts God has given us. And it takes trust to give generously and place our resources in God's hands.

That is why each year our parish sets aside this time for a Stewardship Renewal. Much like the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche do in the world of sports, it is an opportunity for us to pause, reflect, and evaluate how we are living our faith. It invites us to ask an important question: How is God calling me to grow right now?

In the coming days, you will receive a Stewardship Renewal packet in the mail. Inside you will find formation materials that reflect on the spirituality of stewardship - how we offer our time in prayer, our talents in service, and our treasure in generosity. The packet also includes a Commitment Card that helps guide your prayerful reflection about how God may be inviting you to take the next step in your journey of faith. On Commitment Weekend, October 24/25, each parish family is asked to return their completed commitment card.

Over the next few weeks, I invite you to take this opportunity seriously. Spend time in prayer. Ask the Lord to guide you. Ask Him for the grace of fortitude and the strength to respond generously to His call. Even if you've participated in past years and plan to continue your same commitments, this annual renewal is still vital. Why? Because stewardship is not a one-time decision-it's a relationship. Just like we renew our marriage vows, or return to Confession again and again, we return this card each year as a sign of our living, ongoing 'yes' to Christ. This prayerful act of recommitment is a spiritual offering.

If we do that together as a parish family, we will be living our faith with purpose. Please take the time to review your commitment materials when they arrive in your mailbox and pray about where God is calling you to commit more deeply to Him in the year ahead!

May Jesus bless you with peace and all good!
