Today is Commitment Sunday!

Today is Commitment Sunday! Today is the day! Please bring your completed Commitment Card to Mass.  We are striving to become the Stewardship Parish that God intends us to be — intentionally committed to time in prayer, talent in parish ministry, and treasure - the sharing of our financial gifts. Each of us has a unique and vital part to play and is needed in this mission. What is your part this year? Please put it in writing and turn in your Commitment Card today!

As a parish family, this is our 4th renewal, so some of us might be tempted to think, “I’ve already done this before — why do I need to do it again?” But that’s a misunderstanding of what this Renewal is really about. Returning your Commitment Card each year is not just about making changes — it’s about making your faith intentional. Even if your commitments haven’t changed, the very act of pausing, praying, and saying ‘yes’ again to God is what makes stewardship come alive.

This Renewal is like a spiritual checkpoint that invites us to stop, reflect on our relationship with God, and offer ourselves to Him again.  It’s not about the form — it’s about the formation. Skipping this moment, even with the best intentions, means skipping a powerful opportunity for growth. And for us as a parish family, when each of us renews our commitment — together — it strengthens the Body of Christ in a visible and beautiful way. This annual “yes” is a gift to God, a gift to our community, and a gift to your own soul.

As a parish family, my hope is to have 100% participation in this renewal. Stewardship is not about perfection — it is about taking the next step in our journey with Christ. Even if all you can do today is make one commitment, begin there. Trust that the Lord will use that step to lead you further in faith.  May Jesus bless your generosity abundantly!
