Artificial Intelligence has nothing on today’s Solemnity! Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ — a feast centered on the greatest gift we have received, the Holy Eucharist.
After reading Pope Leo’s encyclical “Magnificent Humanity” ON SAFEGUARDING THE HUMAN PERSON IN THE TIME OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, I am convinced that we need the Body and Blood of Christ more than ever!
As Christians we recognize that all we are and all we have comes from God. God’s greatest gift is His own Son, given to us in the Holy Eucharist as true spiritual nourishment. Nothing artificial but real and substantial!
Our Christian way of life flows directly from the Holy Eucharist. We receive the total self-gift of Christ, and we respond with a total gift of ourselves: time in prayer, talent in ministry, and treasure in financial support of the church’s mission.
Always approach the Holy Eucharist with gratitude and reverence. Allow this great gift to transform how you live real life, how you use technology, how you love others as Jesus loves you — so that everything you do becomes an offering back to God.
