How Much Does God Love You?

Do you really know how much God loves you?  Listen to Sunday's Bible readings. It is a reminder for you to surrender all that you have to the One who loves you so much.

The First Reading from Genesis is the story of God putting Abraham to the test. Because of Abraham’s faithfulness and surrender to the Lord, he is blessed abundantly.

You might only imagine how Abraham felt.  Yet, Abraham’s response of total surrender to God’s plan is a testament to trust in God’s deep love for you, too.  You, too, are called to surrender all to the Lord — your time, your talents, and even your material possessions.  Can you willingly give God your entire life with the confidence that He will take care of you?

St. Paul echoes this message so beautifully in our Second Reading. He says, “He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?” God loves you so much that He gave you His only Son who suffered, died, and rose for you.  He has given you His very best.  Will you not entrust your entire life to Him knowing He will continue to pour out His love on you?

As you continue your journey through Lent, just reflect on God’s profound love for you!
