Pastor Fr. Mark

Hope you all can join us next Saturday, July 16 at the 5:30 PM Mass for my Installation as your new Pastor. I have already been here for nine months as Administrator, so I am very blessed to know you and not be a complete stranger! Bishop Golka will be presiding at the Mass. Everyone is welcome to a dessert reception in Assisi Hall immediately after the Mass. In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to our parish debt reduction. (Only 2.5 million dollars to go!) I’m very happy to be with you and look forward to at least six years with you —- God willing!

I remember my first parish as Pastor, Holy Trinity in Colorado Springs. The parish did not have a rectory since there had been no resident pastor! Back in 2004, many of our parishes had no resident pastor. We only had two seminarians back then. Fortunately, the parish had a meeting house across the street from the church. I moved in there, bought some furniture, and was all set. Three years later, I was transferred to Corpus Christi in Colorado Springs as Pastor. I enjoyed 12 years there. We had a great K-8 school. The children, parents, and teachers brought a lot of life and joy to me everyday! We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the church in 2016. We were a Jubilee Church of Mercy and welcomed many pilgrims for the Extraordinary Holy Year.

We retired our old debt and completed a successful capital campaign by the end of my term in 2019. Then, I had the opportunity to go to Mexico and study Spanish. One adventure after another! Since then, I have had wonderful opportunities to keep learning and growing in service to our Hispanic brothers and sisters both here and in Colorado Springs. Please pray for me as we work together in the coming years! There’s a lot we can do!

Spring

Spring weather can be unpredictable.  Remember last weekend!  Daffodils and crocuses begin to emerge during days of temperatures in the 60s and 70s, only to be startled by a plunge into the 30s or 40s

Peace Be With You

Do you really realize how the sacrifice of Jesus impacts your life?  By His passion, death, and resurrection he has changed the world - set you free from sin and death — and called you to live forever
