Congratulations to Bishop Golka who will be installed on Wednesday as Archbishop of Denver.  May the Holy Spirit bless and guide his new ministry.  The process for selecting a new Bishop sometimes takes up to one year.  Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit direct our Holy Father in his decision for the future of our Diocese.

In the meantime, we have plenty of work to do!  Like Lazarus in today’s Gospel, we are not wrapped in burial cloths, with our hands tied and feet bound! Jesus gives us life to be lived fully.

If you, or someone you know, has been away from the Church and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, please join us this Thursday at 6:00 PM in Church.  A number of visiting priests will be with us to welcome them back thru a good Confession.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the on-line survey regarding a possible future mission for our parish in the Crystal Valley area.  Our Pastoral Council and Finance Council will meet next week to review the results.  Stay tuned!

As we face our personal sins and those of our families and nation, no one should be left bound and not free. Are we willing to confront the forces of death like Jesus did?  Our nation is still at war.  What can we do?  What kind of disciples are we? To forgive sins, to be peacemakers like Saint Francis, to run for election to public office, to offer paths to freedom from addiction, to assist immigrants obtain their government documents — these are all parts of proclaiming the reign of God, a Kingdom of Life. These are all parts of our mission right here!  Thanks so much for all you do!

Fr. Mark Zacker

Pastor
