Let us pray for Bishop Golka as the new Archbishop-designate for Denver

Let us pray for Bishop Golka as the new Archbishop-designate for Denver.  I was certainly surprised to here the news last weekend.  I am sad to see Bishop Golka leave us.  He will be installed in Denver on March 25.  Let us pray for a new Bishop for our Diocese.  That process can take up to a year.

We began our Annual Diocesan Ministry Appeal last weekend.  Thanks to your wonderful generosity, we are, once again, the NUMBER ONE parish in the Diocese!  Number one out of 40 parishes!  Our goal is 234,080 dollars.  We did it before.  We can do it again!  I am confident we can make it!  If you didn’t make a pledge-to-give or a gift last week, please do so this week!  We are tracking our progress on the thermometer in the lobby of the church.  

As we pray for Archbishop-designate Golka and for a new Bishop for our Diocese, let us do our part to build up the church here locally by generous support to our Diocesan Ministry Appeal!

O God, eternal shepherd, who govern your flock with unfailing care, grant in your boundless fatherly love a bishop for the Diocese of Colorado Springs who will please you by his holiness and to us show watchful care. May the bishop given to us by your holy Church govern with justice, sanctify your people by his example of holiness and be an instrument of your divine mercy. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
