Missionary of Mercy

Everyone is invited to join us this Tuesday night, April 5 at 6 PM for our Lenten Confessions. A number of visiting priests will be joining Father Homero and me. Please join us and get ready for Easter!

I would also like to ask you to help me as a Missionary of Mercy. Back in 2016, Pope Francis appointed nearly 1000 priests around the world to go out and pray with those who have been wounded by the church. I am one of them. If you, or anyone you know, has been hurt in anyway by leaders in the church, please let me know. I am eager to meet you (and them) and listen. The season of Lent is a perfect time for healing and reconciliation through the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus. I pray that we might carry our crosses together and find new life!

On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 24, I hope to be joining Pope Francis and all the Missionaries of Mercy for Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica. I will be meeting with Pope Francis and the other Missionaries of Mercy on Monday, April 25 for a private discussion. I would like to bring your stories (anonymously) to our Holy Father. I know that he is eager to hear how the Missionaries of Mercy have been fulfilling our call.

Following our meeting at the Vatican, I hope to go to Assisi and visit the tomb of our patron, Saint Francis. I would like to take your prayers and intentions with me and place them on his grave and ask for his intercession.

If I can help you, or someone you know, in any way, as a Missionary of Mercy, please contact me in person, or by phone (720-215-4554) or email: mzacker@stfranciscr.org.

May the Lord bless us with peace this Lenten Season!
