Please invite others to come to know and love Jesus like you do!

Last Sunday, we sent 35 catechumens and candidates from our parish to Bishop Golka for their Rite of Election.  God willing, they will be Baptized, Confirmed, and receive their first Holy Communion with us this Easter!  Please pray for them during this season of purification and enlightenment.  Please invite others to come to know and love Jesus like you do!

This is also the season when 80 of our older boys and girls are preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  They will be making a retreat next weekend.  Father Goodyear has been preparing adults who never received the Sacrament of Confirmation, as well.  Please pray for them and encourage everyone you know, who never completed their initiation into the Christian life through Confirmation, to contact us.  We are happy to prepare them.

Lent is the time each year when we pray with penance to be transfigured, transformed, to be enlightened, and to choose the things of heaven, over the world, the flesh, and the devil. It is the time when, seeing the world choose what is low, we  choose what is high, because on Easter Sunday we will be invited to "seek the things that are above, where Christ is."  Make a good Confession this Lenten season and “Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you.”
