This Fourth Sunday of Lent

This Fourth Sunday of Lent is traditionally known as “Laetare” Sunday, so-called from the first word of the entrance antiphon: “Rejoice.”  This Sunday sets a tone of joyful anticipation of the Easter mystery, so you might notice the rose-colored vestments worn by our priests and deacons.

We also rejoice in the great response we are receiving for our Feasibility Study regarding the possible establishment of a parish mission in the Crystal Valley area. Many parishioners have already shared their thoughts, and I am grateful for the thoughtful responses we have received.

If you have not yet participated, I encourage you to take a few minutes to do so. Hearing from as many households as possible helps ensure that our Pastoral and Finance Council, and the Diocese have a clear understanding of the perspectives within our community.

The survey will close next weekend, March 21-22.  Please go to this link and complete the survey, if you have not already done so:

Thank you for taking part in this important moment of prayer and discernment for the future growth of our Saint Francis of Assisi Parish.  REJOICE!

Fr. Mark Zacker

Pastor
